Ronny is admitted before the European Patent Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Unified Patent Court. He concentrates his practice on both U.S. and European patent prosecution, UPC invalidity proceedings, and EPO opposition and appeal proceedings.
He served a clerkship with the honorable Randall Rader, former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jason was a founding partner and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Practice of Mintz Levin, where his work involved both prosecution and litigation of patent and trademark issues. He has extensive experience regarding patent issues in the electronics industry, medical devices, energy-related technologies, security and telecommunication systems.
Jason also served as a partner at Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, and at Gaston & Snow, where he established and headed the firm's first patent department.
Jason began his career as an examiner in the US Patent and Trademark Office and was in-house counsel for Westinghouse Electric, where he was responsibte for IP licensing and joint ventures, as well as for various investments and divestments for the company. He was also an attorney with the US International Trade Commission, where he handled actions brought under Section 337.
Jason has served full-time as an associate professor at Suffolk University School of Law, where he taught courses in patent, computer, and high-tech law. Omer brings a unique synthesis of experience and perspective drawn from the worlds of tech investing, tech entrepreneurship, and global in-house IP management.
He began his career at San Francisco Science, a Silicon Valley boutique venture capital fund specializing in medical devices. Omer was responsible for screening projects and overseeing due diligence, and was appointed CEO of its two major investments. He managed Cybro Medical, a start-up company whose products included a reflective pulse oximeter for fetus monitoring and a non-invasive RF based cardiac output monitor. Under Omer's management, the company was acquired by lmagyn Medical Technologies, and Omer served as the general manager of Imagyn’'s Israeli subsidiary for several years, before returning to San Francisco Science to lead the fund's second investment in Medical Dynamics, which commercialized a pneumatic device for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis.
Omer continued his VC and entrepreneurial activities by establishing a group of Angel investors and an Ultrasound technology accelerator. In this role, Omer led the development and commercialization of a urology Holter monitor and a platform technology for non-invasive measurement of blood constituents.
Over the last decade, Omer shifted his business focus to the intellectual property arena and served as in-house IP manager at Lumenis, where he gained extensive experience regarding the critical role of IP in a leading global company.
